My friends and I have a tradition of staying in Wales every summer at my friend's grandfather's holiday house. It's always so wonderful to be able to spend this time together, especially as the house is in such a peaceful location. Due to the lack of internet connection and usual city activities we have to create our own entertainment. This year I decided that it was time to get back into photography and my friends encouraged me to do this - kindly agreeing to let me experiment by taking portraits of them on the beach.

Partial Immersion

As part of an art project I collected a variety of translucent objects. These ambiguous images are some the results of photographing these objects. By removing them from their usual environment, or focusing on only part of them, their original meaning and purpose can be subverted - allowing room for the viewers imagination.

Flashback

Utilising nostalgic objects from my childhood I created a shoot based around the 90s/early 2000s trends. Thanks again for some more spontaneous modelling Anna!
